Kirby And The Rainbow Curse Trailer Confirms New Details & Amiibo Support

Nintendo released a new trailer yesterday for Kirby and the Rainbow Curse; as you may know, the upcoming Wii U game expands on the ideas of the original DS title Kirby and the Canvas Curse, and it’s coming sooner than you’d think – February 13, 2015.

The video (Japanese only, sorry) shows footage of all kinds of stages, and even an intriguing four-player multiplayer mode. Near the end, Amiibo support for the Kirby, Meta Knight and King Dedede figures is detailed. Check it out:

Nintendo also updated the official website for Rainbow Curseand confirmed that the game will contain 28 stages total. Within these stages, players can find and collect a variety of hidden goodies, such as chests containing audio tracks and special trophies.

According to NWR, the launch price in Japan – 3700 Yen – puts the new Kirby game in the budget-priced range ($30) in North America.
