Scrap Brain Zone is brutal, unforgiving and at some points even a little cheap. This is the last full zone before the final boss fight — and it shows through its steep difficulty. In short, don’t expect an easy ride.
Whereas the similarly difficult Labyrinth Zone derived much of its challenge from the underwater feature where Sonic can drown, Scrap Brain Zone throws an assortment of unexpected hazards Sonic’s way.
This is the only zone in Sonic the Hedgehog where each of the acts has a different background. It starts outside with factories belching pollution into the skies before making your way into the belly of the beast.
