I was barely out of my diapers — just three years old — when Sonic the Hedgehog came out. Even though I was young, I was already rescuing Princess Peach in Super Mario Bros. and defeating Shredder at Chuck E Cheese in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Arcade Game. Gaming seemed to come naturally.

But it was Sonic the Hedgehog that “wowed” me. The vibrant colors, fast gameplay, and fun soundtrack all came together to make an experience that is still memorable to this day. Sonic the Hedgehog helped to make gaming a passion. It is because of Sonic’s outsized influence on my early childhood that I decided to make the original Sonic the Hedgehog my first “Let’s Play” video.

Below are the first two videos in a seven part series. I hope you enjoy watching as much as I enjoyed re-playing this amazing game!
