Madden 2002 is one of Madden's greatest games of all time. This game added in new features and kept old favorites to keep the game look its finest. So sit down, grab a pop, and watch (or play) the big game against those Patriots (winners of the Super Bowl that year) and try to make your own history.

The graphics in Madden 2002 are above all the best seen compared to 2002's other football titles. Visually, most of the problems the other games have with collision and frame rate are not in this game. The players don't have arms going through them when they hit each other or have their arms go into the ground when they are in a 3 point stance lined up on the ball. The game doesn't slow down and works at its best.

Madden 2002 hasn't improved much on the already improved sound from the last version of Madden 2001. The game has some great new music that plays on the menu screens and in the stadium after you score. The commentary is still boring and repetitive. It just never seems to get any better.

This game is one of many football games released at the time. This was the first full 11 vs. 11 football game ever released. This football franchise is at its peak and can only laugh as it leaves the other games in its dust. The 2002 plays the easiest. In this game, it is actually possible to complete passes and in games unlike the Madden games 98-01. If you never won a game in Madden before, this is your year.

Madden 2002 has new features including Season, Franchise, Tournament, Create-A-Team, and many others. It has updated rosters and better stat records of players. This is the first Madden to use the Madden Challenge to receive tokens to buy Madden cards that unlock cheats, historic players, and boost player's ratings for different periods of time. There sadly isn't online support for this game on Xbox. PS2 owners however have the pleasure of having this feature. Hopefully in the future EA will have online support for all consoles. Still, overall, Madden 2002 is a great game; highly recommended.
