Yesterday’s “Smash Direct” presentation answered the question pretty well. You can check out the full video after the break.

Narrated by the Smash Bros. series announcer, the video revealed 50 facts about Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. It is tough to argue that some of these details were more exciting than others; you should check out the footage below and decide for yourself:

…new game modes? Check.

…Eight-player Smash mode, complete with gigantic versions of the stages? Check, check.

…new Stage Creator mode based on the GamePad, decked out with online features and file-sharing capability? Yep, yep, and absolutely.

Perhaps the most exciting of all, Mewtwo will be returning to the roster in both versions.

This little detail not only confirms the very first instance of a downloadable character, but it will also be free to anyone that owns both versions of Super Smash Bros. Mewtwo won’t arrive until sometime in early 2015, but the thought of even more characters on the roster is hard to complain about.
