Sony announced over the weekend in an email to PlayStation Plus subscribers that their accounts were being extended five days.

“The extension will be applied automatically and no action is necessary to receive the extension,” the email says.
The extension is due to an interruption in PSN services over the holidays. The company says that the extension “applies to all PlayStation Plus members that had an active membership or free trial on December 25th.”
