The Nintendo Wii is about to launch on November 19, 2006. Between now and then, Game Freaks 365 is going to list 19 reasons each day for why you should buy a Wii.
#14 Mii profiles – Nintendo selected the name Wii because it means togetherness. Afterall, gaming started with multi-player games like Pong and the arcades only added to the level of competition in the 1980’s. While the Wii is all about bringing people together, it’s also about the individual. That’s where Mii comes in. One of the Wii Channels is called Mii. Here you can create your own 3D caricature of you, your friends and your family. Select features such as eyes, nose and mouth. You can then make detailed adjustments to the size and location of these features, as well as their shape, color, weight and height. Characters will then get together where you can order them around. Your characters can be saved into your Wiimote and carried with you anywhere. From the looks of it, Mii may also serve a purpose in some games, including Wii Sports.
