Thanks to Kickstarter backers, Marko: Beyond Brave is now fully funded.

Indie game creator Studio Mechka collected $26,466 on Kickstarter. That exceeds its target of $18,500 to completely produce the game, Marko: Beyond Brave. It’s all thanks to the support of 639 supporters.

An unexpected success

The game is a 2D atmospheric hand-drawn Metroidvania game inspired by vintage cartoons and Balkan mythology, created using Unreal Engine 4 and developed with Unity. Marko may gain over ten distinct talents and abilities that will aid him in defeating over 25 bosses and 100+ distinct enemies.

Marko: Beyond Brave will contain a new boss: Baba Yaga, a unique figure in Slavic folklore, as well as a new zone if the second stretch goal is met. The creators will be able to design and release the game on Steam for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch thanks to the success of the Kickstarter campaign.
