Here are the coolest Xbox games that allow you to perform a variety of over-the-top actions or that have badass moments throughout. These eight games are ones that make the player feel like a badass, and some of these games contain things that are not very realistic.
8. Saints Row IV
Saints Row IV is an incredibly goofy and over-the-top game and it’s quite different from the other entries of the franchise. Everything takes drastic turns in this game and you’re basically an overpowered superhero. There are cars and other great (often even weird) vehicles to drive in, but you as a person are way, way faster than an automobile could ever hope to be. The amount of chaos you can cause is ungodly, and you look insanely cool while doing so.
7. DOOM Eternal
I don’t need to explain why the Doomslayer is one of the most badass characters in the history of entertainment. His overpowered nature and godlike status are even more apparent in DOOM Eternal. He can clear a wave of demons off the face of the universe like wiping off the dirt on a table.
There are some other details too, that show that the Slayer is even cooler. In his ship, if you go to his room, you can find a lot of stuff that aids him in a galactic battle against demons: a gaming PC, an electric guitar, action figures, bags of potato chips, and more. It’s a great touch to let the players know that he’s just as human and enjoys most of the stuff normal humans enjoy, despite being godlike.
6. Yakuza Kiwami 2
Like in many other Yakuza games, Kiryu is at his absolute peak in Kiwami 2. Street fights can be finished in mere seconds and seeing the crowd cheering gets players hyped up. Many enemies in the game, excluding bosses, are mere jokes to Kiryu and fighting is not the only cool thing he can do. It’d be a long article if I were to describe each and every activity this game has to offer, and you can basically become the ace at all of them. If that isn’t cool, I don’t know what is.
5. Batman: Arkham Knight
Batman is cool, right? That’s not even a question. And in Batman Arkham Knight, you literally can become the best version of the Dark Knight in gaming history. The gameplay elements are revamped and are probably the best in the Arkham series. With the addition of the Batmobile, high-speed chases and crazy stunts can be done throughout the map. As Batman, you can listen to enemy communication and know how much they’re afraid of you. If they aren’t, you can prove them terribly wrong in a matter of seconds.
4. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
In possibly the greatest stealth action game of all time, you play as a legendary soldier whose strength and intelligence are unparalleled. Clearing out entire enemy outposts while being practically invisible to enemies can make you feel like a ghost. And full-blown gunfights with entire platoons can result in deadly losses to your enemies. It’s so cool when you hear on the radio how the enemy camps cannot dispatch more troops to fight you, a single man, because men from those outposts have also been defeated. Be it stealth, or face-to-face combat, you’ll feel absolutely badass in this game.
3. Forza Horizon 5
Forza Horizon 5 is quite possibly the best racing game available now. In it, you can have your own character that’s actually voiced, unlike many other racing game characters. You’re basically the greatest driver in the world of the game and it’s insane to hear and see how much fans adore you. When entering a festival, the sound of music will be masked because of how loud your fans are cheering for you. Jaw-dropping showcases are all done by you alone and each time, you emerge as one of the coolest figures in history, whether you lose a race or not.
2. Halo: The Master Chief Collection
You play many of the Halo games as the most advanced and strong supersoldier of mankind. The Master Chief is the only hope the universe has in these games, and oftentimes, this one soldier is enough to end a galactic war. Waves and waves of enemies are taken out by him in a fast and effective manner. What’s cooler than feeling like you’re the most powerful thing in the universe and you’ll win every single battle?
1. Just Cause 3
Just Cause 3 is what I consider to be the pinnacle of the series so here it is on the list. Medici is a huge playground for a player who’s armed to the teeth with explosives and other ultra-powerful guns. Dismantling the enemy forces in an excessively chaotic manner feels fresh. Enemies have no choice but to defend themselves and those attempts prove fruitless because their vehicles and buildings soon turn to fiery explosions. This game really is cool.
