90 Million PS2’s Worldwide
Sony’s dominance in the console market was reinforced today with an announcement that it has shipped a remarkable 90 million units worldwide in just over 5 years. Sony has shipped 16.17 million slimline PStwo’s.
Divided by region, the company shipped 36.48 million units in North America, 21.04 million units in Asia/Japan, and 32.48 in Europe. The PlayStation 2 is on-track to easily outsell the 100 million+ original PlayStation’s.
