GameSpot is reporting that RedOctane, the game developers behind last years surprise PlayStation 2 hit Guitar Hero, were purchased by Activision for $99.9 million dollars. What gamers want to hear though is that “Activision is planning an ‘all-new Guitar Hero’ game, with the next appearing in its 2008 fiscal year, which runs from April 1, 2007, to March 31, 2008. Guitar Hero II is due to hit PlayStation 2 consoles later this year.”
