Age of Empires fans, get ready! Red Bull Wololo tournament returns

Red Bull Wololo Legacy

The tournament will return in a big way with over $500k in prize money.

If we talk about the precursors of esports, we cannot fail to mention games like Quake, Counter Strike, and, without a doubt, Age of Empires. Microsoft’s strategy game has always been a favorite in the competitive gaming scene. One of the most well-known tournaments of the Age of Empires franchise will return for the 25th anniversary of the franchise.

Red Bull has always supported the world of esports with its eyes closed. As always, this energy drink brand has made each of its tournaments big. And now, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Age of Empires, the Red Bull Wololo: Legacy is back. Players from Age of Empires 1: The Rise of Rome to Age of Empires IV can register and win a prize pool of $550k!

Red Bull: Wololo

The competitive real-time strategy gaming scene has always been exciting. Age of Empires has always been the talk of the town in the format. Although the competitive culture in video games in the past was not as mainstream (not to put it negatively), it has existed since its inception.

Many of those games, which in the beginning were the most used for these competitions, have disappeared in time. The only one that has always looked for a way to come back is Age of Empires. This is thanks to companies like Red Bull, which for two years now, have dedicated a competition to this title: the Red Bull Wololo.

Three games and a lot of money

As mentioned before, the Red Bull Wololo: Legacy will encompass three different games: Age of Empires 1: The Rise of Rome, Age of Empires II Definitive Edition, and Age of Empires IV. Each of these games will have a qualifying phase. This will allow players to go head-to-head and show which two are the best. Then, both players will face each other in an incredible finale where they can win huge amounts of money.

Red Bull will allocate different prizes for each of the games. For Age of Empires 1: The Rise of Rome, $50k is allocated; for Age of Empires II Definitive Edition, $200k is allocated; and for Age of Empires IV, the grand sum is a $300k prize!

If you are a good Age of Empires player, and you think you can make it in the tournament, you can register here. If you want to know more information about the tournament, we invite you to visit the page dedicated to this tournament.
