Microsoft just confirmed yesterday that the Xbox 360 Elite would drop in price to $299 in order to compete with the newly announced PS3 Slim. It seems that if an Amazon.de product page is to be believed that the company has more hardware announcements to reveal. The German site of Amazon.com had a page up (which has since been taken down) for a Xbox 360 Elite with a 250GB hard drive, 2 wireless controllers and Forza 3 for 279.99 Euros. At today’s exchange rate that would cost approximately 400 dollars in the United States. This same site accurately predicted the PS3 Slim. While Microsoft has yet to confirm such a bundle, the fact that a product page on a prominent shopping site like Amazon exists would indicate that it is likely real.
