IGN is reporting that Animal Crossing: Wild World for the Nintendo DS has surpassed 3 million shipped in Japan as of May 8, 2006. We do not have numbers for America and Europe, however we know that the game has been a hit in those regions as well. Due to the game’s popularity, Nintendo is spinning it off into an anime franchise for the Japanese market. No details on if it will reach American shores.
