Tip 1: Play Other Game Modes to Improve Your BR Skills
Apex has come a long way since its launch. The game has many modes for players to try out now. If you want to improve your skills in the Battle Royale mode, we highly recommend giving a few rounds in the Mixtape and Bot Royale Bame modes. These modes will help you get used to the fast-paced action of the game quickly.
You can have many combinations of guns to try out. Playing the Mixtape in particular will help you learn how to quickly get used to the loot that you are forced to use. This will give you a quick overview of all types of guns that you can use in the game. You will be prepared to duke it out in the battle royale in no time.
Mixtape also allows you to switch characters multiple times in one game. This will help you try out every Legend’s ability quickly (assuming you have them all).
If you don’t have all the Legends unlocked, go to the firing range and bot royale modes. These modes will let you use any Legend and their ability. These modes not only will serve as way to train but you can also try out each character’s ability and know who to unlock when you have enough credits to unlock someone.
Tip 2: Learn to Play At Least Three Legends
Apex Legends have many Legends, each with a unique personality. It is very easy to find a favorite among them not just by the way they play but also because of how their personalities are. Once you have a favorite Legend, it becomes very difficult to not play them in a game. However, your favorite character is also someone else’s character. So you won’t always be able to play as your main every game.
A workaround to this is leaving the game during Legend selection (We’re kidding, please don’t do this). The right thing to do is to learn how to play other characters. These Legends can be of the same class as your main to have a similar skill set or could be completely different, Whoever you end up choosing, make sure to spend some time after them in both the Mixtape and Battle Royale modes to completely know how they can play alone and in a team situation.
Once you do this, DO IT AGAIN! As you might know, Apex is a game with three players per team. You may now be able to get your first or second mains in some games. In these cases, it’s essential to know how to play with a third Legend. You don’t have to spend the same amount of time behind this Legend as you;ll rarely fall in a situation where both your main and second main are being used. However, its still good to learn the skill set of three characters to be good at the game.

Apex Legends has many roles to fill up. With the Skirmishers, Assaults, Controllers, Supports, and Recons, there is so much to learn in the game. Tip 4: Use Your Legend to Their Strengths
Once you find a Legend who fits your playstyle, it is important to play to the Legend’s strength. Mirage, for example, is the master of deception. You can use his abilities to shift the enemy’s attention to a different location using a decoy or quickly escape a dangerous situation using his Decoy Escape. A skilled Mirage will also know how to use the Decoy escape offensively and deceive their opponents for a split second to gain the upper hand in a fight.
A Legend has a lot to offer both themselves and their team. Staying on the Mirage example, Mirage could take on an entire team alone or help his downed teammate escape. This is because Mirage is the only Legend who can go invisible when they revive a teammate. This will give a moment to breathe for Mirage and his teammate. This will also surprise the enemy as they will suddenly not know where two players went and in a heated fight, the smallest change can cause a large disarray.
Tip 5: Land Near Hotspots and Not on Them
When you first start playing Apex, it is important to learn where the hotspots are. Hotspots are areas where players drop to the most often. While it is very lucrative to drop to the area with the most play and get a bunch of kills, most of the time you’ll be at the wrong end of the gun. While hot dropping is an essential part of the game, as a beginner you will have more success landing somewhere safe and rotating into areas with enemies afterward.
The best way to do this is to land somewhere near a hot spot and loot without having to worry about being shot down when you are weaponless. It takes the tension out of the early game. Once properly geared up, rotate into the hot spot and third-party two teams already duking it out. You will learn how to strategize this way and find new and more exciting ways to take a fight.
Tip 6: Loot Less, Fight More

Apex has many ways in which you can return to the game after you get knocked down. Your teammates can respawn you at almost any point in the game so have a little faith in them.
