In addition to soft-launching in the Oceania region, four countries in the Americas are joining the beta testing of the game.
Respawn Entertainment announced today on Twitter that Apex Legends Mobile is getting ready for a soft launch and that player registration for Android devices is now available. Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, and Peru have joined the party. That’s in addition to the Oceania countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand).

Soft launches are typically used to test game servers. The creators may optimize both the servers and the game, concentrating groups of players on separate servers in advance of the game’s formal debut in all regions to stress test the servers and fix bugs.
Typically, these soft launches take place after a pre-registration on Google Play for Android. Respawn Entertainment stated that news for iOS and other markets is coming shortly. Meanwhile, users in the aforementioned territories may register on Google Play to have the game downloaded to their Android phone or tablet as soon as it is released.
For those who are unfamiliar with Apex Legends‘ new mobile game, it is a scaled-down version of Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale. Expect a total of 60 players per game and 20 three-player squads. Despite this, Apex Legends gamers will be able to choose from a huge number of maps and game modes throughout the game.
