The newest map in Apex Legends, called E-District, is a vibrant, cyberpunk-inspired urban battleground introduced in Season 22, “Shockwave.” This map stands out for its focus on verticality and close-quarters combat, offering players a fast-paced and intense gameplay experience.

Energy Bank
The Energy Bank is the core of the Electro District, acting as its main energy hub and standing out as a landmark visible from any point on the map. This towering structure only allows entry at the ground level, where close-quarters combat takes place, while outside, the engagements shift to medium and long-range. It’s a high-risk, high-reward location, ideal for quick looting but difficult to defend.
The Lotus
This opulent residence caters to the wealthiest individuals, offering stunning ocean vistas from its penthouses and a luxurious lounge in the lobby. It boasts the map’s highest vertical play area, perfect for intense combat between rooftops. For those looking to close the gap quickly, a gravity launcher provides a swift way to engage opponents across the heights.
Shipyard Arcade
Where history meets high scores! This unique location, once a busy shipyard drydock, has been transformed into an impressive arcade. The main landing area is the arcade ship itself, but don’t be fooled—surrounding buildings and shops offer plenty of loot before you assault the ship. Be aware, though, of the ship’s considerable height advantage.
Old Town
A historic, compact area that favors urban warfare, with battles taking place across rooftops and narrow alleyways. This small town offers intense urban combat in a more condensed setting. Expect close-quarters battles as you move through multi-story buildings, along with medium to long-range firefights across rooftops. A gravity launcher on the main street provides quick access to these rooftops for fast-paced action.
New Map Items:
E-District also introduces gravity launchers, a new feature that allows players to quickly move across the map by launching themselves to different rooftops or other elevated positions, further enhancing the map’s vertical gameplay. The Launchers are different from the pre-existing gravity cannons. The Gravity canons were a map mechanic introduced with Storm Point. The canons covered long distances whereas the launchers cover smaller areas allowing more flexibility in gameplay.
This map is the first in Apex Legends to be set exclusively at night, adding a new layer of strategy to the game. With its varied POIs and unique features, E-District is expected to become a favorite among players for its dynamic and engaging environment.
