ARK: Survival Evolved mod Lost Island now official map, Winter Wonderland returns

Lost Island Winter Wondeland

In addition to the incredible new Lost Island map, Raptor Claus returns for the Winter Wonderland event.

Studio Wildcard has revealed something wonderful for ARK gamers and the modder community. Lost Island, the map produced by the modder known as “lostisland” on Steam, has made the transition from Steam Workshop to become an official DLC of ARK: Survival Evolved. The transition to an official map comes with the help of the Studio Wildcard development team.

Lost Island provides us with a massive map with over 150 square kilometers of new biomes, challenges, and strange ruins. We may explore jungle valleys fed by massive waterfalls, build a treehouse high in the forest canopy, and get down and dirty in extensive mangrove swamps, among other things. In addition, players can hunt or farm three new dinosaurs: Amargasaurus, Sinomacrops, and the Dinopithecus (picked by the community).

Winter Wonderland

Aside from the release of Lost Island as free DLC, the Christmas event is returning to ARK. RaptorClaus will be swooping through the star-filled night sky in his sleigh, dropping up presents laden with high-end gear as well as Mistletoe and Coal for those wicked Survivors in this year’s Winter Wonderland Event.

RaptorClaus may be seen flying over the sky around midnight (in-game time) on all maps. GachaClaus has also returned, hunting for eager receivers, accepting coal and mistletoe in exchange for holiday-themed presents including a full-body Santa suit, new skins, weaponry, armor, or 5 new Chibis like Sinomacrops, Dinopithecus, Amargasaurus, and more.

ARK: Survival Evolved is currently available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Google Play, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
