ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition is delayed on the Nintendo Switch until November 2022.
Studio Wildcard today revealed ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition on Switch and the free major ARK update will now be released in North America in “very early November” with the EU version “shortly thereafter.” The delay is “due to unforeseen and unprecedented environmental circumstances in the Pacific Northwest.”
The major overhaul update for ARK: Survival Evolved on Switch improves visual quality and performance, drastically reduces loading times, adds numerous QoL features like a virtual cursor for improved inventory management, and much more.
ARK: Ultimate Survival Edition – which was announced in April – includes all ARK expansion packs plus all upcoming patch improvements. The Scorched Earth expansion is available on launch day; Aberration, Extinction, and Genesis Parts 1 & 2 will come in subsequent months.
ARK: Dinosaur Discovery Mode
Exclusive to Nintendo Switch is the new ARK: Dinosaur Discovery mode. It is tailor-made to guide younger players through the world of ARK in a kid-friendly, non-violent, fact-filled adventure. Featuring simplified controls that can be played on a single Joy-Con, young gamers can learn about the real-life dinosaurs featured in ARK and unlock illustrated Dino Books filled with facts narrated by actress Madeline Madden as the voice of HLN-A.
ARK: Dinosaur Discovery will be offered as a free download for all ARK: Survival Evolved owners on Switch. A separate downloadable version of the game will also appear on the Nintendo eShop. As always, stay tuned to Game Freaks 365 for all of your ARK and ARK 2 news!
