Assassin’s Creed: The Magus Conspiracy, a new novel set in 19th century London, out now

Assassin's Creed The Magus Conspiracy

It’s time to live this new chapter of the eternal battle between Assassins and Templars of the Assassin’s Creed universe

Assassin’s Creed, besides having amazing games (and some not so much), has equally amazing novels. The most recognized among fans of the game, and those of literature, is the series of books written mostly by Anton Gill and Andrew Holmes, both under the pen name “Oliver Bowden”. Although other authors have written different books and novels, they have not been nearly as successful.

Therefore, even though the last two, Odyssey and Valhalla: Geirmund’s Saga, did not go down very well with the public, Ubisoft has collaborated on a new story. The novel Assassin’s Creed: The Magus Conspiracy, written by Kate Heartfield, is now available on Amazon for Kindle, Audible, and paperback format.

A new chapter in the Victorian Age

As previously mentioned, the Assassin’s Creed books went from strength to weakness. The last books were not as well received as Ubisoft imagined. Therefore, more than six years ago, they chose to create a new project with a great author for a new trilogy: Kate Heartfield. She’s a Canadian author of fantasy, science fiction, horror, and non-fiction who happens to be a fan of the game series.

“When my agents told me about the project, I had played Syndicate and was a huge Assassin’s Creed fan already, and a lot of my books are in historical settings, so it seemed like a great fit for me,” Heartfield said in an interview for Ubisoft News. Having soaked up the aesthetic behind Syndicate, the Canadian author crafted a novel based on London during the Great Exhibition of 1851.

The Magus Conspiracy presents the story of Pierrette Arnaud, a very famous acrobat in the city. After rescuing Ada Lovelace, he was introduced to Simeon, a reserve soldier who is part of the Assassin Order. Arnaud, along with Simeon, will work hand in hand to stop the Templars’ plan to destabilize Europe.

A story full of adventure, secrets, explosions, action, and murder awaits you in The Magus Conspiracy. This new trilogy of books will open a new chapter in the Assassin’s Creed universe, which will possibly have repercussions in future games. If you want to get your hands on this new novel, you can find it on Amazon for Kindle, Audible, and paperback format from $9.95 to $13.
