Astral Ascent is getting a Steam Early Access release this month.
French indie developer Hibernian Workshop announced today that their challenging pixel-art platformer rogue-lite Astral Ascent is coming to PC via Steam Early Access on April 12.
The indie team behind the game previously created Dark Devotion. The game’s Kickstarter was successfully funded last year with the support of more than 2,900 backers.

Astral Ascent offers a vast and beautiful hand-crafted pixel art modern fantasy world to explore. In the far future, a powerful general called The Serpent-Bearer has built a museum dedicated to his victories, where he has collected and imprisoned enemies, rivals, and former allies. Our heroes will have to fight to escape this eternal prison.
The Early Access launches with two playable characters (the deadly assassin Ayla and the explosive fighter Kiran). Players will also have five Zodiac bosses to fight (Taurus, Capricorn, Virgo, Leo, and Sagittarius) and two worlds to explore. The final version of the game will have 12 Zodiac bosses.
