The Xbox Live “Artist of the Month†program hits center stage again in August with Audioslave. During the month of August, there are numerous giveaways for Xbox Live members, including a free version of the group’s latest video for “Original Fire,†a chance to play and chat with Audioslave over Xbox Live in Madden NFL 07, plus the chance to win an Xbox 360 and a copy of Audioslave’s latest CD Revelations. And as an added bonus, fans can download exclusive behind-the-scenes video footage of the band at work and play.
Fans who are interested in gaming against Audioslave should log onto http://www.xbox.com/artist to sign up by August 31. Audioslave began recording its upcoming third album, including hit single “Original Fire†almost as soon as it came off the road last winter after touring behind 2005’s Out of Exile. Love, life and loss are all themes on the new album, which releases on September 5 (September 4 in the U.K.). Also on the album, Audioslave’s song “Revelations†will be featured on the Madden NFL 07 video game soundtrack. To count down the days to Madden’s release, Xbox Live Marketplace will offer new Madden bonus materials everyday starting August 1 to when the game launches on August 22, including hot game trailers, NFL gamer pics and themes, as well as behind-the-scenes development interviews and downloadable stadiums.
