If you’re a fan of the classic strategy board game Axis & Allies, you may be interested in a PC version of the game called Axis & Allies 1942 Online. It’s out now on Steam Early Access.
Axis & Allies 1942 Online adapts the rules from Axis & Allies: 1942 Second Edition, a turn-based-strategy board game in which players act as World War II powers on either side of the conflict. Players can act as one or more of the world powers: the Allied forces of the United Kingdom, the United States, and the Soviet Union, or the Axis powers of Germany and Japan.
In addition to its familiar classic gameplay, Axis & Allies 1942 Online offers interactive maps, single-player and multiplayer modes, combat summaries, and dramatic music and sound effects.
Multiplayer games can include both AI and human players. A maximum of five players can play in a single game. Players also have the option to battle on their own against AI. With asynchronous play, players can take turns on their own time and watch opponents’ moves in observer mode.
The game retails for $19.99 on Steam as an Early Access title. Watch a trailer for it below:
