The free demo for Battle Bands is available now through October 8 on Steam as part of Steam Next Fest.
Battle Bands is a multiplayer deck-building game set in a rock & roll fantasy land. The demo lets up to four players take the stage with Battle Bands’ cooperative Tour Mode. It features four unique bosses from the full game, new card unlocks for extra replayability, and five original musical compositions from FatBard, the indie audio duo behind the game’s soundtrack.
“It’s you and your friends (or just you) vs. the world in Battle Bands, an amped-up battle-of-the-bands experience where your deck is your instrument,” indie developer Aerie Digital says. “Choose from guitar, bass, keyboard, or drums, and build up your deck with hundreds of unique unlockable cards. Whatever the gig, a sound strategy, and sick tactical riffs are key to winning!”
The full game is expected to arrive on Steam Early Access later this year. It will feature roguelike co-op campaigns for up to four players against challenging AI rivals, as well as competitive tournament team play for up to 64 bands. Customize your group’s look and instruments, deck out your van in style, and hit the stage like a rock star.
