Blacktail is part of the ID@Xbox Winter Game Fest Demo event.
The Parasight revealed today that Blacktail would have a demo available on Xbox Series X beginning today. The free demo is given as part of an event that coincides with The Game Awards, gaming’s premier awards ceremony, which takes place today.
An adventure focused on gameplay and story
Blacktail is an action-adventure game with arc-based gameplay that gradually evolves as players polish their talents and obtain new perks in their skill tree, in addition to its fantastic storyline and gorgeous aesthetics. Players must learn how to manufacture terrifying concoctions in their black cauldron, use their broom, and cast specific hexes.
Furthermore, owing to the power of Unreal Engine 4, players in Blacktail are able to experience the merging of a realistic woodland setting with magical narratives that bring Slavic mythology to life.
“Story is a core pillar at The Parasight, not only as the kind of quality narrative design as you’d see in many of the top action-adventure games, but delving into the cultural fables and regional myths that have been retold and transformed over the centuries,” said Bartosz Kaproń, CEO & Creative Director.
“We’re reimagining Baba Yaga’s stories taken from Slavic folklore as a dark tale that puts players in the role of a witch’s origins,” he added.
Blacktail is coming to PC and next-generation consoles in 2022. The demo is available for a limited time. It is playable until December 21 on Xbox Series X.
