2K Games confirmed today that the free next-gen upgrade for Borderlands 3 is available on launch day for both PS5 and Xbox Series X.
2K previously confirmed that the game is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X. It comes with the addition of 4K resolution in single-player and online co-op. The game also has four-player local co-op, although it does not support 4K.

If you already own the current-gen version on Xbox One, you’ll receive a free upgrade to the Xbox Series X version via Smart Delivery. And if you own the game on PS4, you’ll receive a free upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version at launch.
