Broomstick League joins Steam Early Access; console version confirmed

Today, the team behind Slender: The Arrival and Citadel: Forged with Fire released Broomstick League on Steam Early Access. It was also just confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One.

Broomstick League was announced last September as a fast-paced, high-flying Quidditch-like sports game. We mused that it had the potential to rival Rocket League as a competitive multiplayer game.

Players take to the sky to compete against other would-be wizards from around the world in a battle of the skies. Players divide into teams and zoom across large arenas atop their broomsticks in an effort to grab the magical orb, outmaneuver other players, and score a goal.

The game had a closed beta in December. The development team at Blue Isle Studios announced that it would go into Early Access last month. Lastly, we just got word that it’s in development for PS4 and Xbox One. However, there is not yet a timeframe on when the console version will be released.
