Call of Duty 3 Now Available as Download on Xbox Live

The Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty 3 is now being sold as a download on Xbox Live Marketplace for $29.99. Call of Duty 3 is the latest game in the Xbox 360 library to see a download version become available several years after release. Microsoft has said that they intend to expand the downloadable offerings of full retail releases, but not to newly released games as that could potentially cause conflict with stores like Wal-Mart and GameStop. Of course you could always still buy a hard copy of the game for the exact same price and save 6GB on your hard drive. While the Xbox 360 store version is still going for $30, the PS3 version is retailing for under $20.
