The Call of Duty: Black Ops III multiplayer beta kicks off today on PS4 for anyone who has a beta key.
The Blacks Ops III multiplayer beta comes with quite a bit of content and weighs in at a hefty 12.5GB download on the PS4. The beta allows players to play through three different maps to “accommodate various play styles and enjoy high-octane combat.” The maps include:
- Hunted: This big game hunting lodge is situated beneath a waterfall in the lush mountains of Ethiopia, where rugged terrain opens up to long sightlines and a stealthy underwater pathway.
- Combine: Set in the remote Egyptian Sahara, this vertical farming and sustainability research facility plays fast and frenetic with tight interiors, an open middle and a dangerous flank path.
- Evac: An abandoned emergency evacuation zone atop an overgrown rooftop in the middle of Singapore’s flooded quarantine zone.
Activision promises that “at least” seven game modes will be playable during the beta, although they may add more along the way. Fan favorites like Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag are joined by modes like Hardpoint, Demolition, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Search and Destroy.
Players can also leave feedback for the development team at https://activision.allegiancetech.com/cgi-bin/qwebcorporate.dll?idx=ET2VTC.
“We have poured our heart and soul into making Black Ops III, pushing ourselves to develop the deepest and richest experience we could for Call of Duty players. We can’t wait for the fans to get their hands-on multiplayer so they can provide us with the type of feedback at scale to ensure we deliver the best experience we can come November,” says Mark Lamia, Studio Head of Treyarch.
The beta will come to PC and Xbox One on August 26 through August 30.
