The Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2020 is wrapping up preliminary rounds and heading into regional playoffs this month.
The regional playoffs begin online in late September. The top eight teams in each region compete head-to-head in a double-elimination bracket tournament. The winners from each region will compete in the finals.
Fans around the world can watch all the action from each of the regional playoffs on the Call of Duty: Mobile YouTube Channels, Twitch Channels, and gamers can also earn in-game rewards, just by watching the action right from within the Call of Duty: Mobile app.
The regional playoffs will be held in the following locations on the dates below:
- Japan: Sep 26 –27
- Latin America: Sep 26 – 27
- Western Europe: Oct 17 – 18
- North America: Oct 24 – 25
- Additional regional locations: Sep 26 – 27
Sony’s Xperia is the official smartphone of the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2020. All Stage 4 regional playoffs competitors in eligible regions will be using the Xperia 1 II from Sony Mobile. Details about the finals, Stage 5, will be released at a later date.
Meanwhile, the Call of Duty League wrapped up over the weekend. The Dallas Empire topped the Atlanta FaZe. The broadcast for the championship final broke a Call of Duty esports viewership record. Peak viewership was over 330K on YouTube.
