Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season One starts Dec. 3 with new maps, modes

Starting next week – on December 3, to be exact – Activision is dropping another round of free content for Call of DutyModern Warfare.

Included in Season One are several new maps, modes, weapons, and more. The new content will roll out at the same time across all platforms, but not all of the Season One content will be available on December 3.

Season One is going to include several new and returning maps. The first you’ll instantly recognize. It’s Crash, the iconic map from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Two more classic maps, Vacant and Shipment, are also coming.

There will be a new Ground War map called Port. According to Activision, you’ll “battle across massive shipping crates, cranes, buildings, and streets in this unique Ground War map experience.”

Two Gunfight-specific maps will be released. The first, Cargo, is an open-roof storage vessel on the docks of London. The new Atrium map is a centerpiece of a palace that is still intact despite nearby fighting.

Activision says that you should expect additional maps and game modes as the season progresses. Click here for more details on Season One.

This is just the latest free DLC coming to Modern Warfare. Last week, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare got new Spec Ops missions and a Gun Game mode. The first free DLC batch came with two maps and a new game mode.
