Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is the latest blockbuster hit in the franchise. Activision has announced that the game made more than $600 million in sales in its first three days on the market.
That figure is the highest for a Call of Duty game this entire generation. It’s also double the box office total for Joker as of November 3. Modern Warfare also established a new record as the #1 top-selling digital opening in Activision history.
The game set new records on the PlayStation Store for the highest digital pre-orders and highest three-day digital sales ever on PS4. Modern Warfare is also the top-selling Call of Duty PC launch ever. Opening weekend PC sales on Battle.net were “significantly up over last year.”
