Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies revealed

Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies

Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies is a crossover with new characters and horrors that will await gamers when the game releases next month.

Activision has unveiled the first look at the Zombies mode of Call of Duty: Vanguard, a component overseen by Treyarch. Soon after, the studio revealed additional information about what they would provide to surprise fans with the new experience, which will include elements of horror and, of course, a lot of action.

Since Vanguard‘s unveiling, it has been revealed that its Zombies mode would interact with Black Ops Cold War, but no additional information has been provided. The studios have now revealed additional details about this crossover, its new features, and the tale that the mode will deliver in Vanguard.

A new deep and dark story

This time, Treyarch has worked with Sledgehammer to create a Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies mode unlike any other. This will be done in part due to its crossover with Black Ops Cold War — the first time in the Call of Duty franchise — which will provide narrative consistency to what has previously been shown in the mode while also introducing some new features.

Vanguard, as shown in Activision’s first video for Zombies, will extend the mythology of the Dark Aether realm. According to Treyarch, this will contribute to the creation of the franchise’s first crossover, which will “offers continuity from a lore standpoint while innovating on the core gameplay loop.”

As a result, players will discover more about Projekt Endstation, a secret Nazi experiment gone awry that resulted in the opening of an interdimensional gateway. They’ll have to do something to stop Kortifex the Deathless, one of the Dark Aether’s five creatures, from fighting in a Stalingrad cemetery. Oberführer Wolfram Von Lis, commander of Die Wahrheit, is now associated with Kortifex, giving him the ability to resurrect the dead. The villain will utilize this power to assemble an army and revenge his faction’s defeat in the past.

New elements and shared progression

The new Zombies mode was created using the same engine as Vanguard, so it will look fantastic and will fit in nicely with the rest of the story.

On the other side, it will have unified progression through the new release’s Battle Pass. This implies that your progress and level will remain consistent across Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer, Warzone, and Zombies modes. Call of Duty: Vanguard will arrive on November 5 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
