Capcom provided a more in-depth look at the basic gameplay and new gameplay features contained in The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles in a new gameplay trailer.
They included typical Ace Attorney courtroom and investigative scenes as well as two new gaming experiences: “Summation Examination” and “Dance of Deduction.” The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles is coming on July 27 in North America and Europe. The game will cost $39.99 when released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam.
Ace Attorney goes into a completely new era
The new trailer gives fans a first look at the vibrant setting, intriguing characters, and exciting gameplay that await them in The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles. Players will take on the role of Ryunosuke Naruhodo, an ambitious Japanese attorney and ancestor of Phoenix Wright himself.
With the assistance of his legal aid Susato Mikatoba and London’s famed detective Herlock Sholmes, Ryunosuke will uncover the mysteries behind 10 high-stakes cases set in the late nineteenth century during Japan’s Meiji Period and England’s Victorian Era.
The series’ core gameplay, involving investigations and courtroom fights, returns. Players will visit the crime scene to gather evidence, chat with witnesses, and seek for clues during Investigations. In a new episode of the series, Ryunosuke and Sholmes will perform a show-stopping “Dance of Deduction.” In these new sequences, players must correct Sholmes’ mistakes in order to uncover the true facts of the case.
Today, Capcom also released the first video in their “Case Preview” series. Fans may expect new case previews every week in the weeks leading up to the game’s release.
Pre-orders for The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles are now available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam. Players who buy the game before September 1 will receive the “From the Vaults” Early Purchase Bonus, which includes 54 pieces of art and music, some of which have never been seen before.
