Cardpocalypse out now for PC and Apple Arcade, coming soon to consoles

The role-playing card game Cardpocalypse is out today on Apple Arcade and for PC via the Epic Games Store.

Set during the 1990s, you play as a 10-year-old kid named Jess who accidentally gets everyone’s favorite card game banned on the first day of school. Off to a great start there, kid!

The school kids take their card battles underground, only for mutants from the game to invade the real world. It’s up to you and your friends to save Dudsdale Elementary and the rest of the world using killer card decks.

In the game, you build a deck around rare Champion cards, which have their own unique abilities. The first player to defeat their opponent’s Champion card wins the match.

Indie developer Gambrinous is behind the game. They previously released Guild of Dungeoneering for PC, Android, and iOS.

A console version of Cardpocalypse is also in the works. It will be released later this fall on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
