Cloud Gardens finally gets a release date on Xbox and Steam

Cloud Gardens

From the creators of Kingdom: New Lands, Cloud Gardens is a relaxing game about overgrowing the ruins at the end of the world above the clouds.

Cloud Gardens, a game currently in Early Access from the Dutch indie company Noio, will be published next month for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

The game allows players to use nature’s power to overgrow lo-fi vistas of urban ruin and artificial environments. Dive into a peaceful sandbox mode with no objectives, or go on a multi-chapter “campaign” in which the goal is to find a balance between the natural and the manmade. Adding items encourages luxuriant vegetation to develop, but each object must be covered with foliage for the process to continue.

“We are very proud of what we have achieved with Cloud Gardens, and more importantly, what our players have achieved,” said Thomas van den Berg, the game’s creator.

“Seeing new creations each week is a constant source of joy for me. I can’t wait to see what they’ll make with these new tools, and I’m super excited to see what Xbox players will add to the mix,” he adds.

In Noio’s game, you will solve organic puzzles in a peaceful 3D environment while unlocking a massive collection of items and plant life. If you want to play something a little more casual, the Creative mode allows you to construct to your heart’s content and build your own skybox, which you can then share with other players online.

Cloud Gardens is currently accessible in Early Access. However, the full game will be released for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on September 1.
