Collection of Saga: Final Fantasy Legend trailer debuts at Tokyo Game Show

Collection of Saga: Final Fantasy Legend

Square Enix released a new trailer for the upcoming Collection of Saga: Final Fantasy Legend on Nintendo Switch during a presentation at Tokyo Game Show.

Collection of Saga: Final Fantasy Legend is a digital collection. It’s made up of three different classic Nintendo Game Boy games. The games include The Final Fantasy Legend, Final Fantasy Legend II, and Final Fantasy Legend III.

These three games represent the beginning of the Saga series. Square Enix says that Collection of Saga is “packed with brand new features to enhance the experience, including speed boosts and a retro display mode.”

Collection of Saga: Final Fantasy Legend launches digitally on December 15, 2020 for Nintendo Switch. The classic RPG collection is available to pre-purchase now from the Nintendo eShop for $19.99.

My Take

It’s fitting that Square Enix is bringing this collection of classic Game Boy role-playing games to the Switch. They first appeared on Nintendo’s breakout handheld system. Now they will soon be available on the company’s most recent successful handheld hybrid.

And who knows? Maybe if the digital version is successful they’ll release a physical edition with a retro-inspired manual?
