Company of Heroes 3

Relic Entertainment, a Canadian strategy game studio, has revealed that one of the best RTS sagas based on World War II is coming back. That’s right. They just announced Company of Heroes 3!

It’s a return that has taken longer than RTS fans would have preferred. Finally, Relic Entertainment has revealed Company of Heroes 3, the third installment of the popular real-time strategy game. We will be engulfed in the intense battles of World War II once more.

The action, in this case, revolves around significant events that occurred in the Mediterranean Sea, specifically in northern Africa and on Italian soil. The main new features are a dynamic campaign map and a tactical pause.

Relic wants to combine the combat mechanics that defined the series, such as the different troops that we’ll be moving around the battlefield in real-time with new ways to flank or infiltrate enemy lines. This allows us to expel them from their positions.

Free pre-alpha preview

Along with the announcement of Company of Heroes 3, Relic has started a free pre-alpha phase so that players can test the game for themselves. The pre-alpha alleviates some of the wait until the game launches at a later date, which appears to be in the fall of 2022. You can join the pre-alpha here. It lasts for three weeks.

Another important aspect of Company of Heroes has always been its technical completion, with Relic always wanting to offer great visual work. In this release, we will have a new destruction system with many elements that can be broken in order to change the map and gain a tactical advantage.

We’ll let you know when we learn more. In the meantime, watch the Company of Heroes 3 announcement trailer below!
