The PlayStation Network has been down now for nearly a week. With no signs of the situation improving, Sony has released the grim prospect that credit card information may have been stolen. Sony Computer Entertainment of America spokesman Patrick Seybold said today that the company was investigating whether credit card numbers or other personal information was stolen during “external intrusion”. Hardly reassuring. Be sure to check your credit card statements to look for suspicious activity.
