CrossfireX delayed until 2021

CrossfireX

The upcoming Xbox-exclusive first-person shooter CrossfireX is delayed until next year.

The news came via a tweet. The developer released the following statement:

After much deliberation – and in consideration of the challenges faced by the Smilegate development team due to COVID-19 – we have made the difficult decision to delay the release of CrossfireX to 2021.

Moving our release will allow us to deliver the Crossfire experience on console our team set out to create. We’ll have more to share in the future.

We’ve been reporting on a lot of delays recently – and it’s understandable given the challenges developers are facing in 2020. We’ve seen delays for The Last of Us Part II, Mafia: Definitive Edition, Final Fantasy VII Remake, and Marvel’s Avengers. Meanwhile, Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed three times this year.
