But the most impressive thing is that just yesterday CS:GO proved that it is still among the elite. Yesterday, more than 1.2 million concurrent players registered. To date, this is the fourth-highest number of players the game has had since its launch in 2013.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive never dies!
As mentioned, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive continues to be one of the most-played FPS games. In spite of all the alternative games that we can find in the different game stores, CS:GO is still among the most played games. Averaging more than 750k concurrent players per day.
But, yesterday was an unexpected milestone that draws the attention of those players who perhaps thought the game was dead. The game has reached more than 1.2 million concurrent players between all servers. Without any special reason or eSports competition, this peak of players has a very important merit – not just for Valve, but for the CS:GO gaming community.
What’s even more important about this figure is that it is not far from the highest number of players ever recorded! On April 16, 2020, 1,308,963 concurrent players were registered. But, an important factor that made it possible to reach these figures at that time was the pandemic. Therefore, it is impressive that the game, almost 10 years after its launch, is obtaining such an impressive number of players.
Now, after knowing this, a very important question arises: at some point, will the player cap be exceeded? With the pace at which the game is going, it seems that the dream date will soon arrive when the number of concurrent players will be surpassed once again.
