Cuphead is coming to Nintendo Switch with Xbox Live support

Nintendo Switch has slowly gained a reputation for being an indie-friendly platform. Today, Nintendo announced that they are adding another indie title to their growing catalog. This time it’s the formerly Microsoft-exclusive game Cuphead.

Cuphead was first released in 2017 on Xbox One and PC. It’s a brutally tough platformer with a distinct hand drawn art style that dates back to early rubber hose animation cartoons from the 1930s.

Interestingly, Cuphead will be one of the first games to make use of the recently-announced partnership between Microsoft and Nintendo that allows Xbox Live support on the Nintendo Switch. Cuphead will make full use of the yet-to-be-announced Xbox Live features.
