Cyberfunk 1977: KB Pixel Art has fun with reimagined cyberpunk cover art NFT

What would a cyberpunk game look like in the 1970s?

Last week, CD Projekt Red released the long-anticipated next-gen update for Cyberpunk 2077. So we finally learned what the game looks like on PS5 and Xbox Series X with all of the bells and whistles of 4K and ray-tracing. This week, we get something just as groundbreaking: Cyberfunk 1977.

“This is the never-released cover art for Cyberfunk 1977 on the Memetendo Entertainment System. Extremely rare (because it doesn’t exist)!” the Rarible page says.

Well, technically it does exist but as a tongue-in-cheek NFT, not an actual game. It’s part of a broader pixel art NFT project from KB Pixel Art that honors retro gaming with distinct art ranging from POTUS Punk to the slightly crude but funny National Pornographic Sexy Viking Edition.

If you enjoy pixel art with a dash of humor, you can follow KB Pixel Art on Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Rarible.
