Cyberpunk 2077

In a rare move, Sony has removed the bug-ridden Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store. The company also announced that it is automatically refunding fans.

A page announcing the decision was posted a short time ago on the official PlayStation website. We’ve included the full statement below:

SIE strives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, therefore we will begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store.  SIE will also be removing Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store until further notice.

Once we have confirmed that you purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store, we will begin processing your refund.  Please note that completion of the refund may vary based on your payment method and financial institution.

The game has faced harsh criticism from fans for bugs and severe performance issues on PS4 and Xbox One. While initial reviews from critics were positive, the game has taken a nosedive on review aggregator OpenCritic. It is currently averaging an 81 out of 100.
