The Dallas Empire and Atlanta FaZe competed in the Call of Duty League championship over the weekend. Dallas came out on top and set a new Call of Duty esports viewership record in the process.

Fans from around the world tuned into YouTube to watch the inaugural season come to an end with Sunday’s championship final. The Dallas Empire was ranked second overall in the regular season while Atlanta FaZe was ranked first overall in the regular season.

But on Sunday, Dallas came out on top. The Empire dominated the best-of-9 series, winning 5-1 versus Atlanta. The team gets bragging right, the CDL Trophy to take home to Texas, and a $1.5 million prize.

Sunday’s championship final reached a peak viewership of over 330K viewers. That means that the match becomes the most-watched in Call of Duty esports history.
