Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny announced for Nintendo Switch

Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny has officially been revealed ahead of its 2021 launch exclusively for Nintendo Switch in the US.

Launching on January 28th in Japan, the long running tactical RPG series will be getting a release on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan, but only for the Switch in the US. It’s a peculiar announcement, since the Disgaea franchise has always debuted on PlayStation consoles before releasing its Nintendo counterpart.

I really do feel like the Nintendo Switch is a great home for Disgaea, but I don’t understand why they’re leaving PlayStation 4 players out. This is the first all new story in six years, as players step into the shoes of a zombie in his attempt to challenge a god of destruction. The usual Disgaea wacky combat is back in force, and players should expect to sink in hundreds of hours if they want to get the most out of it.
