Aside from honoring the developers behind our favorite games, The Game Awards is also well-known for showing off upcoming games. This year’s show appears to be no different with a new Dragon Age expected.
The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley teased the reveal, promising fans that they’ll get a “special look” at the next Dragon Age. And apparently Bioware is the developer of this latest game in the franchise.

The last major game in the Dragon Age franchise was Dragon Age: Inquisition. It was released back in 2014 on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The series has had a few spinoffs on mobile devices and Facebook since then but no major releases.

My Take
It’s good to see that this franchise hasn’t been forgotten. While we don’t know the platforms yet – although I would fully expect PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X – hopefully Bioware really makes it shine.
