Nintendo DS sales surged for the week ending April 24, 2005. 96,000 units were sold for the week in Japan, compared to just 33,000 PS2’s and PSP’s. The GBA SP was in a distant fourth with sales of nearly 11,000. The release of Nintendogs, the game that appears to be much like the computer program ‘Dogz’, is seen as playing a major factor in the spike in sales.
