EA is shutting down servers for Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, Shank 2, and more

Electronic Arts is shutting down the servers for a number of older games including Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 and Shank 2.

It’s common for companies to end server support for old games with multiplayer. Electronic Arts is at that point with a number of its legacy titles, which means that players will no longer be able to play online. It also means that you will need to unlock any achievements that require you to play online before the servers go dark.

Fans have set up workarounds for a few of these titles, including the three Command & Conquer games that are set to see their online components officially sunset. You can still play these games on the fan servers here.
