Epic Games Store users are currently experiencing login and download issues on the platform.
In a statement on Twitter, EGS explains:
We are investigating the issues impacting login, purchasing and downloading/installing games on the Epic Games Store. We will update you when the issues are resolved.
What’s the likely culprit? The company is currently giving away the Tomb Raider trilogy for free. So that surge in customers could have caused the servers to crash. At least that’s our guess.
We’ll update this story if we learn anything more or if the downtime persists. In the meantime, hold tight and the issue should get resolved in the next few hours.
